The path from silence to the first words for Peťka

Pekko's story began to be written when he was three and a half years old. He lived in his own, quiet world, and he lacked speech. As parents, we did not give up and began to tirelessly try different therapies and nutritional supplements so as not to get lost in this silence. Today Petko is 9 years old, he has childhood autism, ADHD and is non-verbal, but our struggle continues. Every day we drive 45 kilometers from Vydrane to a special elementary school for autists in Humenne, and his week is filled with hard work. On Mondays, he attends intensive ABA therapy, thanks to which he signs beautifully, learns to communicate with us and has a much better cooperation - working and learning is now much easier with him. Saturdays he devotes EEG biofeedback with craniosacral therapy and occasionally we go to hippotherapy.We supplement our efforts with regular dolphin therapy, but the key goal for us is neurorehabilitation at the Sunny Smile Center in Giraltovce, where we need to go at least twice a year. During this tour, we also want to provide for Peťko orofacial stimulation and hyperbaric chamber. All these procedures fit together, deepen his understanding and open the door to him from silence. Thanks to them, Petko is making beautiful progress and today he can repeat a few lighter words. We will use the collected money in full for these neurorehabilitation in Giraltovce, orofacial stimulation and hyperbaric chamber.
